About the Role

Our industry-leading product portfolio spans Connectivity from connected vehicle to connected infrastructure.

The Infrastructure Pre-Sales Leader will come into a result oriented, dynamic environment to help formulate, organize, and execute strategic growth plans for SBU Connectivity Infrastructure Product Portfolio function. Pre-Sales management leader will evangelize the product roadmap by working closely with the business development team and sales team. You will be responsible for accelerating revenue growth and profitability by developing business relationships with our customers (OEMs/ODMs/SI/ISVs/End Customers) to complete platform/product portfolios and accomplish BU strategic objectives to boost revenue, and new customer engagements.
Attention to detail and business/relationship development, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. This role is the expert in knowing the ecosystem partners, building relationships, how they buy and their purchase criteria, and will transfer that knowledge to the sales channel.
Your Team
You will lead a team of 5-6 direct reports and be expected to lead with influence and work with a cross-functional team members drawn from all relevant functions within the business. This team will be empowered and aligned around company objectives.
What You Will Do
  • Responsible for working with clients, partners, and HARMAN’s internal product development teams to help advance the HARMAN Connectivity SBU initiatives.
  • Accountable for the overall Pre-Sales in collaboration with SBU, CBU, CPM, Operations, Finance, and others.
  • Understand customer needs and translate those into the get to market and go to market strategy for the business that will be incorporated into the initiative's business plan
  • Market intelligence – understand the segment focus, priority use case, ecosystem, be an expert on buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on competition and how to outmaneuver them.
  • Support the team bidding for new business pursuits globally and assimilate high level requirements defined by customers and translate them into functional requirements understood by cross functional teams in the organization.
  • Demand generation - develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for the Intel portfolio. Evaluate projects using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers
  • Understand HARMAN Automotive SBU product offerings and future technology roadmaps.
  • Responsibility and opportunity to understand requirements at product level (system, hardware, mechanical, software) and shall be responsible for working with cross functional teams in understanding and documenting them
  • Be a resource for process-related questions, provide guidance, and communicate any relevant information to the cross-functional teams.
  • Build external partnerships to accelerate the growth of the Connectivity SBU business.
  • Signing up for PoC / Early engagement models with customers.
What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering, Science, or Business Administration
  • 8+ years of overall experience in technology sector.
  • At least 5 years of experience in customer product delivery and sales in automotive industries or related industries
  • Ability to communicate advanced and complex concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels.
  • Leadership skills and able to work in a global matrixed organization and able to present to all levels of the organization
  • Financial acumen and in-depth automotive business understanding
  • In-depth knowledge of the HARMAN product portfolio and the technology roadmap
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and prioritization skills.
What is Nice to Have
  • MBA with Master's in Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in Telematics and Connectivity domains
  • Automotive industry relevant experience
  • Experience working in a matrix, global org with multiple functions such as R&D, UX/UI, Sales, Finance, Mktg, Legal, Supply chain, etc.
What Makes You Eligible
  • Be willing to travel up to 30%, domestic and international travel
  • Be willing to work in an office OR This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)
  • US Only - Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
